1. Scope and Summary
This Privacy Policy applies to the PageIQ Chrome Extension, PageIQ account services, cloud knowledge base, platform credits, and related services operated by Injoys AI (“PageIQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
PageIQ’s single purpose is to provide a user-directed browser AI assistant for understanding and acting on the active webpage and, when explicitly requested, other open tabs in the current window necessary for a multi-tab feature, including summarization, question answering, translation, optional web search, automation assistance, and saving content to a personal knowledge base.
2. Data We Handle
Depending on the features you use, PageIQ handles the following categories of data:
| Data category | Examples | When handled |
|---|---|---|
| Website content | Visible page text, title, and URL from the active tab and, for a multi-tab feature you explicitly request, other open tabs in the current window | When you invoke a page or multi-tab feature, or choose to save page content |
| User-provided content | Prompts, questions, instructions, chat messages, and feedback | When you submit that content |
| Account information | Email address, username, display name, language, and organization identifier | When you register, sign in, or edit your profile |
| Authentication information | Session tokens and provider API keys you configure. Provider API keys are encrypted in local browser storage | When you sign in or connect an AI, search, or MCP provider |
| Knowledge-base data | Saved page content, title, URL, language, vector index, and timestamps | Only when you choose to save content to the cloud knowledge base |
| MCP integration data | MCP server address and settings, tool requests, relevant page or prompt context, tool inputs, and returned results | Only when you connect an MCP service or invoke one of its tools |
| Service and transaction data | Plan, quota, usage, platform-key metadata, and promo-code redemption result | When you use account, quota, or redemption features |
| Technical and security data | Request ID, request time, endpoint, response status, IP address, browser/user-agent, and security events | Automatically when you communicate with PageIQ services |
PageIQ does not intentionally collect passwords from webpages, cookies, form entries, complete browsing history, or page content from tabs unrelated to a feature you request. The only exception is when you explicitly request a multi-tab feature: PageIQ may read the title, URL, and visible content of other open tabs in the current window only as necessary to fulfill that request. Page content may itself contain personal or sensitive information, so please review it before submitting it to an AI provider or saving it to the cloud knowledge base.
PageIQ does not collect or store your full browsing history, a list of installed extensions, or device-level identifiers for cross-site tracking. Technical logs, such as IP address, request timestamp, request ID, endpoint, response status, and error events, are processed only for authentication, rate limiting, troubleshooting, service reliability, and system security.
3. How We Collect Data
- From you: when you create an account, enter a prompt, configure a provider, redeem a code, contact support, or save content.
- Through extension permissions: PageIQ reads the active tab’s page content after you invoke a feature that requires it. When you explicitly request a multi-tab feature, PageIQ may also read the title, URL, and visible content of other open tabs in the current window only as necessary to complete that request. It does not use those permissions for continuous browsing surveillance.
- From service operation: our servers create limited technical, security, quota, and audit records when the extension calls PageIQ cloud services.
4. How We Use Data
- Send content from the active webpage and, when explicitly requested, other open tabs in the current window necessary for a multi-tab feature, together with your instructions, to the AI or search provider you choose so it can return the requested result.
- Create, retrieve, synchronize, and delete entries in your optional cloud knowledge base.
- Connect to an MCP service you configure and exchange the tool request, relevant context, inputs, and results needed to perform the MCP tool action you invoke.
- Create and authenticate your account, maintain sessions, and provide account settings.
- Calculate and display quota, usage, entitlements, platform-key status, and redemption results.
- Operate, secure, debug, prevent abuse of, and measure the reliability of PageIQ’s user-facing features.
- Respond to support requests and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use website content, prompts, or browsing activity for personalized advertising, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.
5. Storage and Retention
- Local storage: Provider API keys, model settings, authentication tokens, locally retained conversations, preferences, and MCP connection settings are stored in extension-controlled browser storage. BYOK provider API keys are encrypted with browser Web Crypto before local storage and are transmitted over HTTPS only to the provider you select for authentication and requested model operations. PageIQ does not persistently store those keys on its cloud services.
- Cloud storage: Account records, authentication records, quota/usage records, and content you explicitly save to the cloud knowledge base are stored on PageIQ’s service infrastructure and isolated by account.
- Unsaved page content: Content submitted for a one-time request is held by PageIQ in transient processing memory only for the time needed to complete that request. It is not intentionally written to PageIQ persistent storage or added to the cloud knowledge base unless you choose to save it. An AI, search, or MCP provider may retain data it receives according to its own policy and your settings.
- Cloud knowledge-base content is retained until you delete the item or close your account, subject to a limited backup-deletion period.
- Account, quota, redemption, security, and audit records are retained while your account is active and afterward only as necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.
- Local extension data: Local data remains in the applicable browser profile until you clear it or uninstall PageIQ. Chrome removes extension-controlled local storage when it completes that operation. Uninstalling does not by itself delete cloud account or cloud knowledge-base data.
- MCP configuration and data: MCP connection settings saved by PageIQ remain in the applicable browser profile until you remove the connection, clear extension data, or uninstall PageIQ. An MCP service may retain requests, context, inputs, or results according to that service operator’s privacy policy and retention practices.
7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
PageIQ’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We use user data only to provide or improve PageIQ’s disclosed single purpose and related operational features.
- We transfer user data only when necessary to provide that purpose, for security, to comply with law, or as otherwise allowed by the Limited Use requirements.
- We do not use or transfer user data for personalized advertising and do not sell it to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
- Humans do not read user data except with your consent for a specific support request, when necessary for security, when required by law, or when data has been aggregated and anonymized for permitted internal operations.
8. Security
PageIQ uses HTTPS for data transmitted to PageIQ services and supported third-party providers, browser-native encryption for locally stored BYOK keys, authentication and access controls, account isolation for cloud knowledge-base data, and operational logging intended to detect abuse and service failures. No security measure is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Controls
- Choose whether to invoke a feature that reads the active tab, explicitly request a multi-tab feature that reads necessary content from other open tabs in the current window, and which AI or search provider receives the request.
- Choose whether to save a page to the cloud knowledge base; view and delete saved pages from the PageIQ interface.
- Choose whether to connect or invoke an MCP service, review the configured endpoint, and disconnect it or remove its locally saved settings at any time.
- Remove provider API keys and clear conversations, preferences, and other local data from PageIQ or browser settings.
- Uninstall the extension at any time to remove its local storage and revoke its browser permissions.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible cloud account data by emailing us. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
To close your account or request deletion of cloud data, email [email protected] from the email associated with your account. We will process verified requests subject to applicable law and records we must retain for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
10. Children’s Privacy
PageIQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
11. International Data Transfers
PageIQ and the providers you select may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. The location and safeguards used by an optional third-party provider are described in that provider’s privacy policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when PageIQ’s features, data practices, providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional in-product notice and consent before a material new data practice begins where required.
